The spiritual heart of Tibet, Lhasa, has enough to keep you intrigued for at least a couple of days.
While the former residence of Dalai Lamas, the iconic Potala Palace is an obligatory stop for all tourists, the Jokhang Temple located in the Barkhor Square is fast becoming another requisite site to visit.
The Tibetan style of debating draws many tourists to Sera, one of the great Gelukpa religious center, Sera. Sera is 4km north of Lhasa. Another great Gelukpa religious center is Drepung which is 8km to the west of Lhasa.
Another pleasant town is Gyantse, famous for its 32m high chorten, the Gyantse Kumbum. The tour continues further exploring the ancient citadels, palaces and monasteries in the Tibetan cities of Shigatse and Shegar.
The tour the moves to explore the Everest Base Camp before driving back to Nyalam.
The trip concludes with a drive to Kodari via Nyalam
