Everest View Trek-13 Days

Everest View Trek is a special trek designed for those who love to observe the beauty of the world’s highest peak, Everest (8848m), from not too far and not that close. It is one of the enchanting treks in Nepal that take the travelers to the various Sherpa villages nestled beautifully in the lap of the Himalayas. Everest View Trek is ideal for those who want to soak in the beauty of the Himalayas without having to walk for days on end.

Everest View Trek starts with a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Lukla hosts the most dangerous airport in the world, Tenzing Hilary Airport, which is the entryway for trekking in the Khumbu region. After landing in Lukla, the trek starts immediately as you move towards Phakding through the rhododendron forest. Following the trails of Dudh Koshi River, the trek takes you to the picturesque Sherpa town of Namche Bazaar, which is also the commercial hub of Khumbu region. The trek features a breath-taking panorama of Everest (8848m) and the accompanying peaks from the highest operating hotel in the world, Hotel Everest View (3962m). The trek also features a brief visit to the beautiful Sherpa village of Khumjung whose monastery displays a skull of the Yeti. Later, the trails take you to the ancient Tengboche Monastery, which hosts a stunning vista of the Himalayas. One of the major highlights of the trek is the hike to Ama Dablam Base Camp (4600m) via Pangboche. The panorama of Ama Dablam (6856m), Everest (8848m), and other snowy peaks from the base camp is a real treat for the eyes. Everest View Trek is packed with enticing nature and culture that allow the trekkers to make memories to last a lifetime.

Note: Please note that the Weather conditions in the Himalayas can be a big obstruction, even during the best trekking seasons. Bad weather or unsuitable weather conditions will directly affect the flight schedule, resulting in flight delays for a few hours to even a few following days. It is really challenging to travel to Lukla by 3 hours of driving, waking up at 2 am to drive to Ramechap Airport, then taking a 15-minute flight. To be safe, we therefore suggest that you extend your itinerary by a few days or opt for a helicopter rather than a fixed-wing flight to reach Lukla. If a flight is canceled, we'll do our best to reschedule it for the next day the following day (Subject to availability).

Last month, my adult daughter and I completed a private trek with Expedition Himalaya from Lukla to Kala Patthar. It was a magical, amazing experience! Our guide Karma was HIGHLY accomplished and looked after us, in every detail, extremely well. He really took care to ensure our safety and good health. It became immediately apparent that we were in the best of hands. Nabin, the co-owner of Expedition Himalaya, could not have been more friendly and accommodating. His personal touch, pre and post trek in Kathmandu, was wonderful. I highly recommend this company. We'll be returning to them for more!

Thank you Expedition Himalaya for organising us a fabulous adventure. We were greeted at the airport by Expedition Himalaya and transferred to our hotel in a nice vehicle. The company kept in regular contact with us to see if we needed any sightseeing, guides and nights out arranged. Our trek was tailored to our needs with excellent guides and porters. We took a long jeep ride to Ringmo and trekked through the Tamang lands through to Phakding and then on up to the Sagamatha National Park. We also used helicopters back down to Lukla which meant we could get further in the time we had. The company have sample itineraries on their website as a guide.
