A high mountain traverse from Makalu Base Camp across the Barun glacier to the Khumbu, crossing the 6000-plus meter East and West cols.

A true adventure into the heart of the wildest Himalayas where few people venture, this outstanding trip makes a high mountain traverse across the Barun Glacier from Makalu base camp before emerging into the Hinku valley and finally, into the high alpine valley of the Khumbu across the challenging East Col (6,100m) and West Col (6,135m). This is very high, demanding, yet truly spectacular route with superb views of the 8000m summits: Cho Oyo (8,153m); Lhotse (8,501m); Everest (8,848m); Makalu (8,475m); and Kanchenjunga (8,586m).

An extremely wild trek that involves a sustained period at high altitude with some very steep slopes, the trip is only intended to the people with alpine experience and good stamina
