Day 01: Fly to Kathmandu
You will arrive at the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu. This city offers you a look into the unique culture that makes up the population of the country. Our representatives will aid you to reach your hotel. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing
Explore the beautiful city of Kathmandu. Visit the world-renowned heritages like Boudhanath, Swayambhunath and Basantapur, Patan and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares. These places offer you a look at the history and culture of the city.
Day 03: Extra Day for Paperwork
This day has been set aside to sort out the paperwork required for your journey. Spend the evening exploring the city’s local culture and taste some local cuisine.
Day 04: Fly to Nepalgunj
Take a comfortable 1-hour flight to Nepalgunj. Nepalgunj is a city that lies near the border of Nepal and India. Overnight in Nepalgunj.
Day 05: Fly to Simikot and trek to Dhara Pokhari
From Nepalgunj, you will take a flight to Simikot, a town located in the remote Humla district. Take a trail towards Dhara Pokhari. Overnight in Dhara Pokhari.
Day 06: Trek to Salli Khola
From Dhara Pokhari, take a trail towards Salli Khola. This trail will take you through forest areas where you will be able to witness the diversity of the local nature of the region. Overnight in Salli Khola.
Day 07: Trek Muchu
Hike towards the village of Muchu from Salli Khola. This village offers a beautiful view of the rocky mountain terrain that surrounds the area. Overnight in Muchu.
Day 08: Rest
This day has been set aside for you to rest and enjoy the mountain air. You can explore the village of Muchu, also interact with the locals in order to get an insight of their daily life.
Day 09: Trek to Sipsip
Take a trail from Muchu to Sipsip. This place lies at an altitude of 4330m. Overnight in Sipsip.
Day 10: Trek to Hilsa
Trek towards the town of Hilsa from Sipsip. This town lies on the border of Nepal and Tibet. As you walk through the place, the view of the encompassing mountains is a joy. Overnight in Hilsa.
Day 11: Trek/Drive to Taklakot
You will cross the border into Tibet and trek/drive towards Taklakot. Taklakot is a town located in Tibet at an altitude of 4755m. Overnight in Taklakot.
Day 12: Rest/Acclimatize
You will spend the day getting used to the climate of the region. We will spend the day here acclimatizing in order to prevent cases of altitude sickness.
Day 13: Drive Lake Mansarovar
Take a ride from Taklakot to Lake Mansarovar. Lake Mansarovar is the highest body of the freshwater lake in the world, lying on an altitude of 4590m. This place offers you a panoramic view of Mount Kailash in the background.
Day 14: Drive to Darchen
Take a comfortable drive to the small village of Darchen. This village lies at an altitude of 4670m. Overnight in Darchen.
Day 15: Trek to Dira-puk Monastery
You will take a trail from Darchen to Dira-puk monastery. Lying on an altitude of 5080m, this holy site for Buddhists offers you a beautiful view of the North face of Mount Kailash. Overnight in Dira-puk monastery.
Day 16: Trek to Zutul-puk Monastery
From Dira-puk, you will trek towards Zutul-puk monastery. This trail takes you through lush green valleys which is a beautiful sight to behold. Overnight in Zutul-puk monastery.
Day 17: Trek/Drive to Darchen
From Zutul-puk, you will trek/drive back to the village of Darchen. Overnight in Darchen.
Day 18: Drive to Saga
You will take a ride to the town of Saga which lies at an altitude of 4640m. This town is a popular rest stop for those bound to Mount Kailash. Overnight in Saga.
Day 19: Drive Sybrubensi via Kerung
You will take a ride and cross the border from Tibet to Kerung which is the border village in Nepal. From Kerung, you will drive to Sybrubensi that lies in the Langtang area. Overnight in Sybrubensi.
Day 20: Drive to Kathmandu
From Sybrubensi, you will drive towards the capital city, Kathmandu. This journey will take you around 7 to 8 hours. You can choose to spend the evening exploring the city. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 21: Departure from Kathmandu
Congratulations! Your journey has come to an end. Our representatives will aid you to the airport. We hope you have had a wonderful time and will join us in our future endeavors.
All visitors except the Indian nationals must hold a passport and
valid visa in order to enter Nepal. Visas can be obtained at the
Nepalese diplomatic missions and consulates abroad and also at entry
points in Nepal. In order to obtain a visa at the airport or any of the
land entry points, you are required to complete a visa form and provide a
recent passport photograph and payment in cash.

Gratis visa for 30 days available only for tourists of SAARC countries
Multiple entry 15 days – US$ 25 or equivalent convertible currency
Multiple entry 30 days – US$ 40 or equivalent convertible currency
Multiple entry 90 days – US$ 100 or equivalent convertible currency
Tourist Visa Extension
If you wish to extend your visa, you can do this at the Department of Immigration in Kathmandu
The visa extension fee for 15 days or less is USD 30 or equivalent convertible currency
The visa extension fee for more than 15 days is USD 2 per day
Tourist visas can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January to December)

Visa Information
First confirm your itinerary and authorize Expedition Himalaya to
obtain the travel permit on your behalf. You will also be required to
email a clear scanned copy of your passport. This has to be done at
least 15 working days prior to your arrival in Nepal.
Reach Kathmandu at least 2 working days in advance of your travel
itinerary and deposit your passport in our office along with necessary
payment required to obtain the travel permit.
Except Indian nationals, all visitors require a visa to enter Nepal (http://www.nepalimmigration.gov.np/content/tourist-visa.html)
